Winning for me would mean I get to share more love with the community. I get to learn and help inspire other to share their story and encourage others who might be like me.

If I were to win, I believe it would be a wonderful opportunity to show that we senior citizens are still here. :) And have something to offer. I would also like to say that the recent uneducated views on our drag community, inspire me to try and educate those who are willing to listen. For example Recently in Sutton, there was an uproar at an anti- bullying celebration at the school. The drag performance contained a cartwheel. Which horrified the people in town and even escalated to a hate filled town meeting. Of course if the people understood, that Drag costumes usually consist of tucking pants then on top of that at least 3 or more, pairs of opaque dance tights then underwear. Much more than cheerleaders, dancers, or wrestlers would normally wear. I feel education leads to understanding.

He/Him

Tina Tequila

Growing up, I never had a queer role model that truly understood me. During most of my early life, I always felt like an outsider because I was so different from the other kids. Winning this pageant would provide me a platform to represent not only queer Latinx individuals like myself, but also the queer community in general. Most people know me for my sunny personality, my great reputation, and my willingness to go against the grain. I have been doing drag for a little over a year now, and every time I step out my door as Tina Tequila I bring joy to everyone's eyes, and a smile to everyone's face. Drag has been a shining light for me even during the darkest times. I am a previous winner from the 2018 Worcester Pride pageant, and I believe I represented the Worcester community very well as Christian. Because drag has become such an important part of my journey toward self-acceptance, I think it's time to give Tina her own crown.

For me, winning the title of Worcester Pride's First Majesty would mean that I get to show my inner child, and especially my inner teenager, that not only can I have fun dressing up and being weird and getting creative, but I can be seen and praised for it as well. There is nothing that hits as hard as truly believing it yourself, however getting a crown for it definitely helps LOL. And as someone who's been a Worcester resident my entire life, it would feel amazing to have the opportunity to really show up and show out for the community. To stand before everyone and say, I AM HERE. Any queer person knows how badass it is to be brave enough to be seen. Going from fearing visibility, to embracing it in such a glamorous way, is so awesome and inspiring to me. And winning the crown, would be the most perfect cherry on top.

Winning would mean cementing my place in the Worcester queer community. As a budding drag queen, I’ve fallen in love with the community that has taken me in with open arms and I’m ready to give back.

It would mean everything, I have done drag for 8 years and never really got my flowers. I constantly work hard to improve my art and myself as a person. My dedication is unmatched in my opinion with how consistent I am on my hard work on my art. I am always ever flowing and improving. I would love to win because this is my moment and opportunity.
