Queer AF: I'm with the Banned

Queer AF, presented by Love Your Labels, is more than a fashion show: It is a declaration. Through the theme "I'm with the banned," Queer AF 2024 channels the spirit of resistance that runs deep in our community. We come together not just to celebrate our art, fashion, and expression, but to loudly proclaim that our voices will not be silenced, our books will not be banished, and our existence will not be erased. Through every stitch and every word, we honor all individuals facing oppression and collectively fight back against the tide of censorship.

Join us for a vibrant celebration of queerness and powerful resistance, where every garment worn is a battle cry for freedom, a love letter to those who have been silenced, and a beacon of hope for a future where our stories are told and cherished. The night kicks off with a bazaar from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., where local vendors will sell hand-crafted goods. There's a VIP pre-show from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring musical performances (included with the price of a runway table or runway seat ticket and available as an add-on to other ticket tiers) and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Queer AF is organized by Love Your Labels, a nonprofit that supports and uplifts LGBTQ+ youth through art, fashion, and design, and works with families and communities to create inclusive and loving spaces everywhere. All funds raised from Queer AF benefit Love Your Labels’ LGBTQ+ youth programs. Attending this event includes permission for the organization to use your photos and videos for Queer AF and Love Your Labels promotional materials. This includes all current and future photos and videos taken by us.

Rainbow Worship

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is so excited to partner with Worcester Pride for our 3RD annual Rainbow Worship, and to join with our Lutheran neighbors throughout the county to celebrate our LGBTQ+ members and friends! This is a Christian worship service planned and led by queer Christians and their allies (including queer ordained clergy members) that will include band music, an interactive prayer practice, and an open communion table. This year's theme is "Linked by Love" - exploring interdependence and queer solidarity!

The family-friendly service will last approximately 60-75 minutes; all are welcome to join in fellowship time afterward, where light refreshments will be served. The church building is accessible to those with mobility concerns (the worship space and fellowship hall are on the ground floor), has a gender-neutral restroom with changing table available, and offers an open (unstaffed) nursery space for small children or nursing parents. Parking is free and plentiful in the church parking lot.
